Workshop: Room of Horrors – Troubleshooting Together
How well do we identify risks, obstacles, and opportunities for improvement in the day-to-day treatment and care of stroke patients?
In this interactive workshop, participants will work together to identify potential issues in a simulated patient setting. The goal is to discover and discuss typical sources of error, safety risks, and opportunities for improvement from the perspectives of speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nutrition counseling, and nursing.
The focus is on direct patient interaction, therapy sessions, and spatial design. Targeted nursing input is also integrated into the workshop. The workshop promotes interprofessional exchange and demonstrates how the various professional groups can work together to provide safe, high-quality care for stroke patients.
Format: Interactive workshop with a limited number of participants (max. 10 people)
Target audience: Speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, and registered nurses
Note: The workshop will be held multiple times. The content is identical.
